GRHC Golf Outing - Save the Date for '08

Grant Regional Health Center Foundation held its Fifth Annual Benefit Golf Outing on Saturday, June 9th, 2007 at the Lancaster Country Club. One hundred and sixteen registered golfers were on hand to enjoy the sunny day and support the foundation. Proceeds raised by the event will fund a Bilicheck device to determine the level of bilrubin in newborns. This monitor is non-invasive and works more like a kiss on the forehead rather than a needle in their heel. The additional dollars will be set aside for the OB and Rehab Renovation Projects. The proceeds are a result of player registration fees and sponsorships by local and regional businesses. Corporate sponsors for this year’s event included Brim, and Wolf L&G Farms. The dinner was sponsored by B.Braun and the Flight sponsors included TDS Telecom, Myers Heating & Cooling, Dean/St. Marys Clinics, Drs. Erin & Jeff Huebschman, Medical Imaging Group, Eastman Cartwright Lumber and Universal Hospital Services.

Top prize winners for this year’s outing included Division I: Larry Kane, Brian Kirsch, Chuck Kirsch and Kevin Kirsch. First place golf team in Division II: Cathy Farrey, Dave Farrey, John Hopkins and Sue Miles.

There were many special events included with this year's golf outing; Pioneer Motors sponsored a 2007 Pontiac GT for a hole in one on hole #1; Milprint, Inc. sponsored a 50 foot putt in which one lucky golfer, Pat Audetat tried for $5000. The Foundation also hosted "Beat the Badger" and "Compete Against the Coach" events – Badger football player Adam Hampton and Lancaster Arrows Coach John Hoch were wonderful additions to the outing. There were numerous raffle and door prizes that were distributed during the steak dinner and the event concluded with a DVD highlighting the day of golf and fun.

The Golf Outing is one of the activities that the foundation sponsors to fulfill its mission of fostering good will and encouraging financial support for Grant Regional Health Center.
