Childbirth Classes
Childbirth education classes are offered to expectant couples to provide them with the knowledge and techniques to enhance their labor and delivery and early parenting experience.
Courses Include:
- What happens during the labor/delivery process.
- Delivery film.
- Tour of birthing room and obstetrics department.
- Lamaze relaxation techniques.
- Massage techniques.
- Labor variations.
- Information about C-sections.
- Early infant care.
Class Dates for 2011
Saturdays, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- November 12.
Class Dates for 2012
Saturdays, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- January 14.
- April 28.
- July 21.
- October 13.
It is best to pick a class that will end nearest to your due date.
What to Bring
Couples are asked to bring two pillows and a sleeping bag or blanket to each class. Please wear comfortable clothing—slacks or shorts are appropriate.
Fee for this series is $40 per couple.
