Surgical Care
Grant Regional Health Center continues to offer our surrounding communities excellent surgical care close to home. In addition to general surgery by local surgeions, specialties include ophthalmology, orthopedics, otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat), podiatry, and urology. Rapid advances in surgical knowledge, technique and technology provide significant benefits for patients. More surgeries can now be performed on an outpatient basis, with decreased risks, less pain and shorter recovery periods.
Grant Regional made a significant commitment to the future of health care delivery with a major construction project in 1998. Our facility, featuring enhanced technology, allows us to provide leading-edge surgical care right here in Lancaster. Our dedicated team-oriented staff treats patients in a professional and caring manner, paying special attention to respecting each person's privacy and dignity. Grant Regional Health Center and Grant Community Clinic are pleased to introduce James Yurcek, MD, general Surgeon. Dr. Yurcek began his practice in Lancaster in December 2006 and has been busy meeting new patients and performing surgeries since he arrived. He performs a variety of general, laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures. Together with Grant Regional's surgical team and advanced technology, Dr. Yurcek is able to perform the latest procedures, including gallbladder removal, hernia repair, bowel surgery, breast biopsy, and tonsil/adenoid surgery. Dr. Yurcek and Grant Regional's staff of specially trained nurses are committed to ensuring faster recoveries, less pain and shorter hospital stays. Dr. Yurcek offers his patients exceptional skill, knowledge and compassion.
