Laser Tattoo Removal
Grant Regional Health Center began offering Laser Tattoo Removal in February 2006. Grant Regional’s Therapeutic Health Staff of registered nurses have completed specialized training and received certification to be able to perform this service, which is only available in medically-supervised facilities.
Our laser technology produces short pulses of intense light that pass harmlessly through the top layers of the skin. This laser energy causes the tattoo pigment to fragment into smaller particles that are then removed by the body's immune system. With proven results, our laser treatment is a low risk method with minimal side effects.
"We know that sometimes people make decisions that they later regret. Tattoos are something people used to think were permanent, until now. We're pleased to be able to offer this unique service that can make people feel better and more confident about themselves," says Leah Ann Myers, Therapeutic Health Services manager.
