In today’s world of modern conveniences, the Hall family chooses a simpler way of life. Kevin and Linda have been married for almost 6 years and were looking forward to sharing their life together in a large family. With two little boys, Brandon 4 and Jonathan 2, they were excited to welcome another baby.
The word “simple” did not describe the feeling that came over them when they learned they were actually expecting twins…less than a week before they were born! Even though twins do run in the family and Linda had several premonitions, she didn’t really think they would actually be blessed with twins and best of all…one of each (Austin and Alyssa).
Dr. Eric Stader delivered their second baby at home but because of some difficulties, they all felt it was important to deliver the next baby at the hospital where there is more help if needed.
Even though the twins were five weeks early, they weighed a whopping 5 pounds each. Alyssa was able to go home the next day, but Austin’s lungs were not quite fully developed – so he needed to spend an extra ten days in the hospital. “It’s such a good feeling to know there’s a caring, capable hospital close by. We thank the nurses and Dr. Stader for the expert care during our short stay…it was a very good experience we won’t soon forget,” smiles Linda.
