"When your six-year old snores louder than your husband – you know something’s just not right," smiles Sonya Kirsch. Little Noah had gone through several years of constant strep throats, nasal congestion and difficulty breathing at night. He had very large tonsils and it was determined it was time they come out. "We were nervous about surgery, but more hopeful that this would improve Noah’s health."
The surgery went just as planned, but they kept Noah overnight for observation… "which put my mind at ease," explained Sonya. "I’m not a nurse and I felt so reassured that he would be closely watched and well cared for. The surgery staff even gave him a special surgery bear to keep him company! All the nurses really gave Noah a lot of extra attention and made him feel very safe. They took the time to carefully explain things to him so he wasn’t frightened. It really meant the world to me. Another great part was that Grant Regional is so close by. We were home in no time and Noah got to rest and recoup right away. I can’t imagine traveling a great distance when Grant Regional has wonderful care—so close to home!"
