Jayne and Adam Webster were expecting baby No. 2. An ultrasound at 20 weeks told them to expect baby Elliott sometime at the end of June. What they weren't expecting was the much different experience that was awaiting them in the recently remodeled birthing suites at Grant REgional Health Center.

"When Oliviah was born two years ago, things were much different," Jayne says. "I labored and delivered in one room and then had to move to another patient room. I didn't bother me at the time, but now having experienced the new birthing suites—you're spoiled right away." This time Jayne was able to labor, deliver and continue her stay—all in the same suite.

Jayne Webster"I was lucky in the sense that Elliott decided to come into the world quickly," she says. "But if I had a long labor and delivery, I know I would have appreciated the new surroundings even more."

"They really thought of everything—beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home from whirlpool tubs, wall-mounted hair dryers, flat screen TVs and pull-out sofa sleepers—we were able to relax and enjoy our special time getting to know little Elliott," Jayne says.

Even more comforting than the beautiful new rooms, she says, was the care and special attention from the staff at Grant Regional. "Dr. Eric Stader and our nurses made sure we had everything we needed and were so helpful and reassuring during our stay."

"It was a very special time for our family, and we feel so blessed to have a wonderful facility like Grant Regional to help us welcome Elliott into the world."
