The Auxiliary and the Foundation of Grant Regional Health Center are pleased to announce that $9500 in scholarships will be available in 2017 to eligible candidates pursuing a career in healthcare. Information has been forwarded to local high school counselors and to the financial aid offices of several colleges.
Grant Regional Health Center Auxiliary and Foundation recognize the need for well-trained healthcare professionals. The scholarship programs are designed to assist students as they further their education and in turn, also help the hospital and area clinics attain the trained staff they require.
The Auxiliary is sponsoring two $1,000 scholarships for those attending a four-year degree program; two scholarships of $500 each for those attending a one or two-year health related program and an additional $500 Nursing Scholarship in memory of Margaret E. The Foundation is sponsoring two $1000 scholarships directly, a $500 nursing career scholarship in memory of Anastasia Jameson and an additional $2000 is available through Southwest Technical College. In addition to this the Foundation will also award 3 $500 scholarships to children of staff who work at GRHC through the Martin Scholarship Fund.
