FYI - Convenient & Local MRI
Grant Regional Health Center is proud to offer the latest in MRI diagnostic technology, available right here in Southwest Wisconsin. Since 2018, we have offered in-house MRI (also known as Magnetic resonance imaging). The days of a mobile MRI truck are a thing of the past - Grant Regional’s MRI is located within the Vesperman Radiology Suite on the main level of the hospital and is available 5 days per week.
MRI was originally developed in 1973 and is used to diagnose various conditions and can be done on different parts of your body. MRI is a noninvasive imaging technique that does not involve exposure to radiation. It can be especially useful for looking at soft tissues and the nervous system. MRI allows physicians to assess the biliary system (the organs and ducts that make and store bile) noninvasively and without contrast injection. MRI can also detect abnormalities that might be obscured by bone with other imaging methods. An MRI scan can take as little as 10 minutes or as long 2 hours (for multiple areas).
When you find yourself in need of an MRI, know your options.
