Over the past ten years, Tom and Anne Hore, along with their family and friends, created and supported the Gratitude Campaign in memory of their daughter, MaKayla, who tragically passed away on Thanksgiving Eve 2012 as the result of an automobile accident. Since that time, the Gratitude Campaign has supported several causes near and dear to the hearts of the Hore Family and those who support their efforts of giving back to the community.

Grant Regional Health Center (GRHC) is proud to be a recipient of donations through the Gratitude Campaign. For the past two years, the Gratitude Campaign has supported our employees through a weekly giveaway of $25 to a randomly selected employee. In 2020, funds also supported the purchase of a fetal doppler for our Obstetrics services. Recently, Anne Hore reached out to GRHC with the idea to give a special ornament to each full and part time staff member to remind them of the great things they do every day! These ornaments include the sentiment “Never Forget the Difference You Make.”

“On behalf of the Gratitude Campaign and the many family and friends of MaKayla Hore, we are honored to share in recognition of the amazing team at Grant Regional Health Center, we will be providing everyone a gift as a token of our appreciation. Thanks again for all you do and never underestimate the positive impact you have on others.” – Tom and Anne Hore Family and Friends

In total, 260 ornaments were handed out for employees to include on their Christmas trees this year.

“I would like to thank the Tom and Anne Hore Family, along with everyone who has supported the Gratitude Campaign and the memory of beautiful MaKayla, from everyone here at Grant Regional. Thank you to all for supporting our services and our employees by recognizing the commitment we have to the communities we serve!” - Brandi Riechers, Foundation Director.
