Visitor information – Effective 5/11/2023
Grant Regional Health Center recognizes that visitation plays an important role in optimizing health and safety of the patients we care for. We promote a practice of open visitation for all inpatients and outpatients unless there is a compelling Justified Clinical Restriction. We do request that visitors are respectful and be considerate of the patient’s need to rest. We ask that visitors not plan to visit if they are not feeling well. An adult must always accompany visitors under the age of 12. Please be sure to check in at registration and the nursing station of the unit you are visiting prior to entering a patient room for further communication regarding your safety and our patients.
Visiting Hours:
- Med/Surg visitor hours are 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. (exceptions for end of life and pediatric patients).
- Pediatric patient’s parents/significant others will be strongly encouraged to provide adult supervision as necessary. Unlimited visiting privileges for parents or significant support persons are accepted when it results in greater comfort and security for the child.
- OB visitor hours are from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- No visitors will be allowed for the first 6 hours after delivery except for the support person and the newborn’s siblings.
