Biography

Nate will treat patients in the clinic and provide care for acute and chronic orthopedic conditions including osteoarthritis, fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains. Nate will work closely with Dr. Binsfeld to determine if further treatment such as rehabilitation or surgery is needed.

"I really try to listen to patients first and foremost," explains Nate. "I then use a detailed physical exam and diagnostic testing to help formulate a diagnosis. I go over all treatment options with my patients and formulate a plan with them. I try to let them be the driver and I am there to guide them/provide information, experiences and outcomes of patients I’ve seen in the past. I enjoy getting to know my patients and building a relationship/rapport with them to gain their trust in order for me to help them most effectively. At the end of the day I will always do what is right for the patient."

Nate completed his education at the University of Iowa for undergraduate degree from 2007-2011. He then went on to graduate from the University of Des Moines for Masters of Physician Assistant Studies in 2017.

During his continued education, Nate gained extensive experience working in Radiology as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for 5 years. He most recently was employed as a Physician Assistant in Orthopedics in Des Moines, Iowa for the past 1.5 years prior to joining the clinic in Lancaster. He has a combined total healthcare experience of 10 years.

"After living in larger cities, my wife and I decided we wanted to return to small town living," Nate explains. "I hope that in Lancaster I will be able to apply my formally acquired knowledge to reach and help as many patients as I can. My hobbies and interests include family, golf, and Hawkeyes sports (sorry Badger fans!)."
