Neurology focuses on the application of neuroscience in the treatment of illness affecting the central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, as well as neuromuscular diseases including but not limited to: Migraine and other headache syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, Epilepsy, Neurocognitive Disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, Peripheral neuropathy, Myasthenia Gravis.

The emphasis is on accurate diagnosis and the development of a patient centered treatment that can help patients work towards treating these disorders and maintaining functional status. Diagnostic imaging can include advanced neuroimaging such as MRI's, laboratory evaluation, and neurodiagnostics including EMG and EEG. Treatments includes coordination with all therapy and rehabilitation services, disease specific medication management, and treatment options that may include Botox for migraines, spasticity or dystonia.

Dr. Bhattacharyya believes the best way to treat the issue is to get to know each patient and try to determine the source and/or cause. He works closely with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan and provides an integrated approach to treating the condition and/or reducing or eliminating chronic pain. This plan could include:
• Interventional procedures
• Non-opioid medication management
• Referrals to physical therapy, occupational therapy
• Lifestyle modifications (such as diet, exercise, and smoking cessation)
• Complementary medicine, referrals to therapeutic health services including massage

Spine Care focuses the treatment of neurological and pain disorder arising from disorders of the spine. Common conditions treated include:
Lumbar, Cervical and Thoracic Radiculopathy
Lumbar, cervical and Thoracic Facet Arthropathy
Spinal stenosis

The emphasis is again on accurate diagnosis and patient centered treatment that utilizes a multi-modal treatment plan focusing on therapy and rehab services, interventional pain procedures including but not limited to spinal injections and coordination with spine surgeons/neurosurgeons
Dr. Bhattacharyya provides non-operative spine care.
