Shine the light on Mental Health & Self Care
If you are struggling with your mental health or experiencing a crisis - call or text message 988 24/7. You can also visit your local emergency room. You matter.
Mental Health is something we all have and experience daily. It is a significant part of our overall health and well-being, and it's important to talk to someone if you are struggling.
The team at Grant Regional Health Center wants you to know it is OK to talk about mental health and encourage you to do so. Take a look at some of the resources and upcoming events related to Mental Health below.
Make It OK
“Make It OK” is a campaign to reduce the stigma of mental illnesses. Stigma is a leading barrier to the treatment for those suffering from mental illness. Make It OK is here to help educate community members and get the conversations going. Visit MakeItOK.org to learn more.
1 in 5 individuals will experience a mental illness, with this comparison, mental illness is as common as driving white cars. So let's normalize that it's OK if you have a mental illness, and it's OK to talk about it. We can do this by having supportive and caring conversations, and knowing the facts about mental illnesses rather than the myths and misconceptions we may have been lead to believe. Take a pledge to LEARN, TALK, and SHARE at MakeItOK.org.
