Biography
Kayte McQuillan, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a valued member of the Behavioral Health team at Grant Regional Health Center. With over 20 years of experience in healthcare, Kayte brings a broad clinical background and a compassionate, client-centered approach to mental health care. Her professional journey includes roles in emergency care, medical/surgical units, and primary care, providing a well-rounded foundation for her current focus in psychiatric care.
As a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Kayte specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions through medication management and supportive care. She works with adolescents (ages 12+) through adults, addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, postpartum mental health, sleep issues, PTSD, and more.
Her treatment philosophy is grounded in empathy, compassion, and respect—values that have shaped her healthcare career and continue to guide her work with patients. She fosters a safe and collaborative environment, listening deeply and supporting everyone’s unique goals on their path to better mental health. In addition to direct patient care, Kayte is an advocate for mental health education and destigmatization, actively engaging in community outreach and awareness efforts.
Kayte’s educational background includes LPN and ADN degrees from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Viterbo University; a Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner; and a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a PMHNP specialization from Clarke University. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
