Grant Regional Community Clinic offers Behavioral Health services to help you with your mental health journey. We encourage you to focus on your mental health because it can have a huge impact on your whole life. Our goal is to help patients reduce the stress and conflict within your live and improve upon essential coping skills, while strengthening decision making abilities. We assist in improving your concentration and communication skills to help resolve difficult communication, build safe boundaries in problematic relationships, and create healthier self-care techniques. These focused treatments are to improve our patients continuity of care, tailored for each individual patient.

Patti Heer, PhD, LPC

Patti joined Grant Regional Community Clinic in September 2024, bringing 40 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Patti was born and raised on a dairy farm in Grant County. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and social work, a master’s degree in counseling, and a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. She has been drawn to and dedicated to the field of helping others her entire career. She strongly believes that people are capable of making changes in their lives and she is here to assist individuals when they find it difficult to see a way forward. Patti is dedicated to helping individuals gain relief from mental health symptoms that may be impacting their life, to enhance one’s daily functioning and to help individuals learn coping strategies and improve their quality of life.

Emily Friederick, LPC

Emily achieved her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in Spring 2019 from Western Illinois University-Quad Cities. During her past work, she has gained experience working with clients who have depression, anxiety, difficulties with life adjustments, trauma, grief and loss, and borderline personality disorder. Therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Existential Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, which encompasses mindfulness skills, emotional regulation skills, interpersonal effectiveness skills, and distress tolerance skills. Emily provides outpatient counseling for patients ages 12+.

Emily's message to anyone who is going through a difficult time in their life would be, "whatever issues you are struggling with, you can find encouragement, help and healing through counseling."

Brittney Stelpflug, MSW, LCSW

Originally from Lancaster, Brittney completed her bachelor's degree in May 2014 and her master's degree in 2020 and returned to Lancaster to live and work where she grew up. She felt strongly that she wanted to return home to be able to provide important services in her hometown for her family, friends and neighbors. Brittney currently shares her time at Grant Regional between Social Work in the hospital and Outpatient Counseling Services at Grant Regional Community Clinic. She completed her Licensed Clinical Social Worker degree in 2022. Her caring nature and professional expertise allow her to help others make positive changes.

Kayte McQuillan, DNP, PMHNP-BC

As a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Kayte specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions through medication management and supportive care. She works with adolescents (ages 12+) through adults, addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, postpartum mental health, sleep issues, PTSD, and more.
